Middleweight slugger Bobby Gunn Jr. of Hackensack, NJ and Toronto cruiserweight prospect Henry Stewart both remained unbeaten following impressive victories last Friday in Indianapolis, IN.

Fighting a rematch against veteran Guy Packer, Gunn Jr. looked to take this one out of the judges hands. In their previous meeting, the bout was stopped on multiple occasions due to issues with the ring canvas before ultimately being cut short and sent to the scorecards in the fourth round. This time around, Gunn Jr. didn’t leave it up to the three ringside scorers. Using a blistering body attack, Gunn dominated Packer and scored multiple knockdowns en route to a fourth round TKO.

Gunn Jr. is now 8-0 with 6 wins by knockout.

Fresh off a 25 second knockout in his pro debut, Stewart was pitted against a 14 fight veteran with a good chin. Stewart boxed well and scored a knockdown of his own but Williamson was game enough to finish the fight on his feet.

Scores were 40-35 on all three cards.

Stewart is now 2-0 with 1 knockout.

“Little Bobby is a great body puncher and that is truly a lost art in this sport,” said Bobby Gunn Sr, trainer and manager of both fighters. He’s got power in both hands and I expect him to continue doing damage when he lands. Williamson was a very good opponent for Henry. He had a quick knockout in his pro debut but not every fight is going to end early. I’m happy with the way he boxed against an experienced opponent.”

Both fighters are scheduled to return June 24 in Indiana.
