About UsBy knockout
Thank you for your interest in Knockout Publicity. Founded in 2007, Knockout Publicity is run and operated by Matt Yanofsky.
Yanofsky resides in Tampa, Florida by way of the Greater New York City area. Since age 18, Yanofsky has been involved in various aspects of professional sports business. This includes but is not limited to event management, advisory/management services, logistics coordinator, working directly alongside the promoter, journalism and most notably, as a publicist under the banner of his company, Knockout Publicity.
As a manager/advisor current and former clientele include two-time featherweight champion Derrick Gainer, contenders Nick Casal, Tarvis Simms and Prince Badi Ajamu, world title challengers Tony Luis, Jaffa Ballogou and Jonathan Reid amongst others. Yanofsky’s journalistic content has been published in the bilingual Primer Round Magazine, CBSsportsline.com, Tallahassee Democrat and Jersey Sporting Life Magazine amongst various other outlets during his time as a respected ringside reporter.
As a feature writer for Primer Round, Yanofsky produced more than 25 nationally syndicated articles, including cover stories on Shane Mosley in the November ‘08 issue, Floyd Mayweather for July ‘09 and Amir Khan in April ‘11. Yanofsky is a former executive for BoxingTribune.Com and currently covers all sports as a freelance reporter. In August 2009, Yanofsky opened up his own New Jersey boxing website, Gardenstatefightscene.com. Due to it’s buzz and growing number of page hits in New Jersey, Garden State Fight Scene was picked up by NJ.com.
Knockout Publicity offers several affordable services, all which are customized and tailored to providing the client with the best available resources for the fighters. Among the different services include press releases (which are sent out to various local, national and international media outlets), I-marketing, networking for interviews and articles from different media sources (such as newspapers, magazines, radio shows, websites, etc), creating a personalized biography for the client and general public relations handling. Creating as well as maintaining a Facebook or Twitter (page which lead to wider fan bases via posting blogs, bulletins, and communication via email etc) can also be arranged. Most importantly, we don’t just build an athlete or event promoter, we help make them recognizable at multiple levels.
Less than six months after their existence, Knockout Publicity’s success was noted in the book “Bringing Back Boxing”, written by Dan Horgan.
Knockout Publicity’s success can also be measured by what the pugilists we work with have done. Our clients have appeared multiple times on major television networks and have fought on air for world titles. Their nationally televised fights have reached HBO, Showtime, HBO PPV, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, BET, Telefutura and ITV and WP (overseas) amongst others. In addition, KO Publicity’s clients were featured in various nationally distributed magazines, local news programs, radio stations and on the biggest internet outlets such as HBO Real Sports, Rolling Stone, ESPN, Yahoo, The Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated and various other outlets. The fighters we work with have all of their updates sent to a big mailing list, which includes contacts in English and Spanish as well as a customized list created directly by the client so we can reach whoever they’d like.
Former/present clients include: Boxing Hall of Famer Riddick Bowe, two division world champion Joan Guzman, Halquist Productions, Prize Fight Promotions, HD Boxing, Holden Productions Cage Time MMA, Mad Integrity Fight Sports, Ritehook Promotions, Starfight Productions, All Out Promotions, Ponytail Promotions, Edmonds Promotions, Baltimore Boxing Promotions, T&T Promotions 21, world champions Shawn Porter, Tori Nelson and Keith Thurman rising stars Bryant Perrella, Huey Fury, Joseph Elegele, Will Rosinsky, Michael Angelo Perez, Bobby Gunn Jr., Trey Lippe-Morrison, Fernando Guerrero, Denis Douglin, Mark Tucker, bare knuckle boxing Hall of Famer Bobby Gunn and Tarvis Simms, Contender Season Four participant Erick Vega, 2008 Olympic Alternate/charitable figure Boyd Melson, and former world champion Derrick Gainer among others.

The NUC is the top high school football combine program in the world and has helped produce more than 1,000 Division I players, many of whom went onto play in the NFL. Yanofsky completed write ups on every combine and top player to attend. These have been posted on Rivals.Com, which is the top high school scouting website in the world as well as an exclusive partner of the National Underclassmen Combine.
